Embright Infotech at Global Venture Capital Summit 2019

The 2019 edition of the Startup India Global Venture Capital Summit, took place at Cidade De Goa Resort, Goa, intended to showcase the diversity and scale of the Indian market opportunity and facilitated some of the most cutting- edge innovations and path-breaking technology themes in the world today. This year the Summit aimed to set new benchmarks by agglomerating a series of diverse and productive engagements involving representatives of leading Domestic & Global Venture Capital Firms, Limited Partners, Family Offices, Corporate Venture Capital Funds, Government of India officials & selected innovative startups across 20 countries.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in partnership with Government of Goa, organized the 2nd edition of the Startup India Global Venture Capital Summit, on 6th and 7th of December, 2019 for Fund Managers and Limited Partners of Top Global Venture Capital Firms. The theme for Startup India Global Venture Capital Summit 2019 wasIndia Opportunity – Investing in tomorrow together. The first edition of the Summit held last year in Goa brought together over 250 participants from over 9 countries and embodied the venture capital opportunities in India and facilitated a rich exchange of ideas on various aspects of the investor world.

This year the Summit aimed to reach new heights in both reach and scope. It was a special day for Embright Infotech as the company was fortunate to get into the top 10 Startups list and became the only startup from South India to attend the event. Embright infotech got an exclusive opportunity to attend the biggest Global Venture Capital Summit after qualifying the selection procedure, which was done through an interim jury of experts who reviewed the eligible applications and shortlisted the best entries on the basis of the evaluation criteria as set by DPIIT, Government of India. The sessions gave Embright Infotech an opportunity to present their business ideas and introduced their product Auticare to the Global Venture Funds present at the event. Their flagship product the XR Healthcare Product – Auticare that provides affordable home therapy for patients suffering from neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, stroke and trauma in a safe and fun environment with an immersive experience made through Virtual Reality was exhibited and demonstrated during the event. The event was attended by the founder, Sathyanarayanan A. R., the Co- Founder Bobin Chandra and the Executive Innovation Manager, Sankaranarayanan A.R.

The focus of the Summit was to mobilize global capital for innovation in India. The Summitbrought together a series of engagements involving over 350 representatives. It projected the India Advantage, diversity and scale of Indian market opportunity, and the forefront innovations originating in India. The Summit also aimed to understand the best practices for venture capital industry, identify issues faced by them for investments in India, and evaluate ways to address them.

The key objectives of the Summit were to showcase the India’s opportunity in the sectors of E-Mobility, FinTech, MedTech, Enterprise Software, EdTech, Genomics and Lifesciences. It also looked at the increase of capital flow for Indian Startups by exhibiting high-quality tech and non-tech startups to the global investor community and foster Ease of Doing Business by identifying and discussing issues faced by the investor community.

This event by startup India provided Embright Infotech an opportunity to meet some of the eminent personalities such as Officials from Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Railway,Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, other policy makers, Top Global Investors etc. at the event to get business guidance and to discuss investment opportunities.
